On Thursday, July 12, 2018, I drove from Tok, Alaska to Whitehorse, Yukon. On Friday, July 13, I drove from Whitehorse to 67 miles before Ft. St. John, British Columbia. On Saturday, July 14, I traveled on to Hinton, Alberta. On Sunday, July 15, I continued on to Montana! Here are some of the Canadian images I captured. I don’t know what you see in the cloud formation; but, I, of course, see a bear! Before entering Montana, I tried to visit what my neighbor describes as Hell’s Half-Acre, otherwise known as Head-Smashed In Buffalo Jump. I arrived after hours and will have to return next summer. They are only open from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Happy birthday, Sally. I love you. Hope you had a good day on Sunday, July 22nd. Hope to see you soon. Really enjoyed our first trip together to Big Bend National Park. You looked great in my white leather hat. Thanks for being a wonderful partner in marriage for 44 years!
On Sunday, July 8, 2018, I visited the bears again at Brooks Falls. This cow moose made an appearance during our preflight orientation. I used the bear cutout for checking my exposure. The bear skat on the trail leading to the bridge to get to the falls is proof the bears are there, even if they don’t greet you on the beach when you arrive by float plane. Thank you pilot Patrick from Bald Mountain Air Service. Thank you bears for an enjoyable experience. Comments? Feedback? Questions? Favorite images? Anything please!
On Saturday, July 7, 2018, I traveled back to Homer from Anchorage, Alaska. Notice the dog on the roof of the Boardwalk Fish and Chips! That’s a 103 square feet Tiny House parked next to my Mypod trailer! When back to visit the Homer eagle nest on a sunny, dry, very windy day! Comments? Questions? Favorite images?
On Friday, July 6, 2018, I traveled to Anchorage from Denali. The price of gas jumped a whole dollar more from when I drove up to Denali to when I drove back to Anchorage! This is in Cantwell, Alaska. Price was $4.23.9 per gallon! There are two pullouts along the Parks highway to view Denali on a good day. Here is one picture I took on my way driving back to Anchorage!
