Was reviewing the 8,000 images I took during my recent trip.
Thought I should highlight some of the images I captured after a seven hour wait for this Grizzly Bear to show up at this location in Yellowstone National Park.
Sometimes patience pays off for the photographer!
On the 18th, My wife and I enjoyed the “Parade of Homes” at The Bluff in the Dominion in the morning and in the afternoon, my daughter and wife took me to Mi Tierra Restaurant for a Margarita and some great Mexican food. What a nice way to celebrate my return to San Antonio, Texas!
On the 17th, I arrived home safe, after a very long day of driving from Carlsbad, New Mexico to Helotes, Texas!
Nice to be home and be with family again.
On the 16th, I visited Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico.
A nice family offered to take my picture inside the caverns.
I took the self-portrait on the mechanical horse in White City just outside the park because I remember a black and white photo my parents had in the family photo album of me and my brother in the early fifties!
On the 15th, I visited the Rio Grande Zoo in Albuquerque, New Mexico, my birthplace!
Great zoo….. Everyone should visit! Peter, did you notice I found the Mountain Lion you were looking to photograph.

On the 11th, I watched the Elk in Horseshoe Park in the Rocky Mountain National Park!
And, I drove up Fall River Road!
On the 8th, Peter and I found some moose on the Wilson-Moose Road.
We took a 3 mile hike to Swan Lake from the Colter Bay Campground Trailhead.
Did not see moose or bear, but had a great hike.
On the 7th, I traveled to the Gros Ventre Campground in the Grand Tetons National Park from West Yellowstone, Montana.
On the way, I got to capture a bald eagle in flight and a buffalo in the river before taking the self-portrait in my campsite.
On Sunday the 11th, I decided to take some environmental images to tell the story of the Elk rut that was happening in front of many visitors to Moraine Park in the Rocky Mountain National Park! Enjoy.
